Circular Arch and Decorative Balcony: Elegant Details of a Brick Facade

#14095. Circular Arch and Decorative Balcony: Elegant Details of a Brick Facade

Before us is an excellent example of early 20th century architecture featuring a distinctive circular window opening in brickwork. This facade element, inspired by Eastern motifs, creates an expressive accent on the brick facade of the building. The arched window, executed in the form of a circle (or a so-called "moon window"), is framed by carefully laid red brickwork that highlights the craftsmanship involved.

Of particular note is the white decorative balcony with geometric ornamentation that creates an interesting contrast with the red brick. This facade design element demonstrates a transition from strict geometry to more flowing lines characteristic of Art Nouveau or Jugendstil.

The upper part of the arch is crowned with a light-colored cornice with decorative brackets, giving the structure completeness and elegance. Inside the arched opening, windows with sectional divisions are visible – larger glazed elements below, and smaller ones above with golden curtains that create a warm accent.

These facade design techniques can be adapted in modern private construction: contrasting combination of materials, use of arched elements to create accents, decorative railings with geometric patterns. Such solutions allow buildings to acquire individuality and architectural expressiveness.

We provide the service of designing the facades of country houses.
