Modern mountain house with dynamic wooden façade and asymmetrical roof

#13451. Modern mountain house with dynamic wooden façade and asymmetrical roof

This is an impressive example of modern mountain architecture, where natural materials harmoniously blend with innovative design. The façade is clad in vertical wooden panels of a warm hue, creating an organic connection with the surrounding coniferous forest. Particularly expressive is the asymmetrical roof with a pronounced slope and wide overhangs supported by exposed wooden beams, which adds dynamism to the structure and provides protection from snow.

The lower part of the building is made of concrete, creating the impression that the house grows out of the hillside. This contrasting façade design with a combination of concrete and wood is a distinctive feature of contemporary mountain architecture. Large, irregularly shaped panoramic windows are arranged asymmetrically, not only providing abundant natural light to interior spaces but also creating a spectacular play of light in the evening when the house glows from within.

The architect masterfully employed the principle of multi-level design in the façade, creating protruding elements, balconies, and terraces that add volume and create an interesting play of shadows. This approach to façade design allows for achieving not only aesthetic expressiveness but also functionally utilizing the features of the mountainous terrain.
