This is an outstanding example of modern residential architecture, where concrete, wood, and glass harmoniously coexist. The circular planned house is situated on a hillside and features a striking two-story structure with a characteristic curved form. The facade presents an expressive combination of concrete structural elements and vertical wooden slats, creating a rhythmic pattern while ensuring privacy for the interior spaces.
Particularly noteworthy is the contrast of materials: cold gray reinforced concrete frame and first-floor walls serve as a foundation for the warm wooden cladding of the upper level. The facade design skillfully employs the principle of openness and enclosure — wooden slats create a semi-transparent shell that filters sunlight and provides natural ventilation while maintaining privacy.
The circular geometry of the building is emphasized by the curved roof and radial arrangement of supports. The lower level is more enclosed, with concrete walls and minimalist window openings, providing a solid foundation both visually and structurally. In front of the house, a classic blue pickup truck creates an interesting temporal contrast with the contemporary architecture.
In this project, the architects masterfully work with the site topography, integrating the building into the hillside.
