Modern two-level facade with contrasting combination of stone and wood

#13392. Modern two-level facade with contrasting combination of stone and wood

The presented architectural object demonstrates an expressive combination of contrasting materials and forms, creating a modern yet organic image of a residential house. The facade is resolved in two main planes: the lower part is faced with natural stone of irregular texture, while the upper part features dark wooden panels arranged vertically. This division visually lightens the upper part of the building and gives it a dynamic quality.

Special attention is drawn to the terracotta accents framing the entrance area and the tall vertical window on the left side of the building. This warm shade effectively contrasts with the dark finish of the main volume and stone masonry. The minimalist entrance zone with a small canopy emphasizes the modern character of the building. The roof has an asymmetrical slope, which adds individuality and contemporary expression to the house.

When designing the facade of a private house, such an approach using contrasting materials can be successfully applied to create an expressive image. The combination of natural stone and wood makes the building not only aesthetically appealing but also visually connects it to the surrounding landscape. Using accent elements in a third, contrasting color is an effective technique for highlighting important functional areas of the facade.
