This modern forest house represents an excellent example of minimalist architecture with an emphasis on natural materials. The building's facade is completely clad in horizontal wooden panels, creating a warm, organic appearance that harmoniously blends with the forest landscape. The horizontal orientation of the cladding visually expands the space and emphasizes the modern lines of the building.
The architectural composition features a concise two-story parallelepiped with a cantilevered second floor, which adds dynamics and lightness to the entire structure. Large panoramic windows on the upper floor and sliding glass doors on the lower level create a sense of transparency and ensure maximum interaction between the interior space and the surrounding nature. The corner glazing on the second floor is particularly expressive, serving not only as a source of natural light but also as an architectural accent.
The facade is complemented by small rectangular windows rhythmically arranged around the perimeter of the building, as well as a round window on the side, which adds individuality to the overall geometric composition. The terrace in front of the house, made of light-colored wood, serves as a transitional zone between interior and exterior, expanding the living space.
This project demonstrates effective techniques that can be applied when designing a modern facade: using natural wood cladding to create a warm atmosphere, contrasting wooden surfaces with glass elements, playing with the geometry of open and closed spaces, as well as thoughtful placement of windows of various shapes and sizes to create visual interest and provide natural lighting.
