Modern coastal house with wooden facade and cantilevered architecture

#12452. Modern coastal house with wooden facade and cantilevered architecture

The presented modern building showcases a striking example of minimalist architecture with clean geometric forms. The facade is clad with light wooden panels, creating a warm yet contemporary appearance. The building has a cubic shape with expressive cantilevered projections at different levels, adding dynamics and visual interest to the entire composition.

Particular attention is drawn to the large panoramic windows that contrast with the wooden cladding and create an effect of lightness throughout the structure. The ground floor solution is interesting, being partially elevated on pillars to create a covered parking area. This is not only a functional approach but also an architectural technique that visually "lightens" the massive building.

The facade design demonstrates a balance between open and closed surfaces. The protruding balconies with partial glazing and solid parapets add volume and create an interplay of light and shadow. The color palette is restrained, dominated by natural wood tones, which complements the coastal location suggested by the decorative rope elements in the foreground.

For private construction, several techniques can be borrowed from this project: combining wooden panels with large glass surfaces, using cantilevered projections to create protected outdoor spaces, and the technique of "elevating" part of the house on pillars to organize multifunctional space underneath. Vertical articulation of the facade using different materials is also an effective way to visually adjust the proportions of the building.
