Modern countryside house with contrasting stone and wood facade

#12115. Modern countryside house with contrasting stone and wood facade

Before us is a striking example of modern countryside architecture, where natural materials and bold structural solutions are harmoniously combined. The facade presents an expressive composition of light textured stone and dark wooden elements creating a contrasting frame. Particularly noteworthy is the asymmetrical roof configuration with its characteristic slope, which adds dynamism to the entire structure.

The facade is organized in three levels, where the lower floor features abundant panoramic glazing, creating a sense of openness and connection with the surrounding nature. The central volume is made of light-colored stone with horizontal texture layering, which visually stabilizes the composition. The architect masterfully used cantilevered extensions of the upper floor with elegant glass balustrades on the terrace, emphasizing the contemporary character of the building.

The vertical dominant of the chimney made of the same light stone balances the horizontal lines of the roof and gives the facade completeness. The work with lighting is impressive – internal illumination shining through large windows creates the effect of a "glowing from within" volume in the evening, which enhances the expressiveness of the architectural solution.

For your own home, a similar approach can be adapted by using contrasting materials in facade finishing, thoughtful geometry of volumes, and cantilevered elements to create a dynamic image. It is also important to pay attention to the integration of large window openings, which not only provide natural lighting but also become an important compositional element of the facade.
