Before us is a striking example of a modern interpretation of a mountain chalet, organically integrated into the natural landscape. The facade of the building presents a harmonious combination of natural materials—stone and wood—creating an impression of an inseparable connection between architecture and the surrounding nature. The stone cladding of the lower part of the structure and the robust chimney made of the same material give the construction visual strength and solidity, while the wooden elements of the upper facade soften the overall impression.
Particularly noteworthy is the multi-level system of terraces and open wooden decks that cascade down the slope. The dark wooden railings contrast with the lighter decking, creating a visual rhythm and emphasizing the horizontal lines in the facade composition. The green metal roof with its characteristic triangular gable is not only functional in a mountain climate but also references the traditional architecture of Alpine structures.
In designing the facade of one's own home, several techniques from this project could be adopted: the contrasting combination of textures (stone/wood), the use of multi-level open spaces to connect with the landscape, and the application of large window openings that maximize natural lighting and open up stunning views of nature. The thoughtful placement of the stone chimney not only solves functional needs but also becomes an important element of the architectural composition of the facade.
