Multi-level polychrome facade with wave-like elements

#11770. Multi-level polychrome facade with wave-like elements

This modern architectural object is a striking example of postmodernist design, characterized by bold color solutions and unusual geometry. The building facade is executed as a stepped composition, where each level has a unique color palette and shape. The central concrete structure serves as a foundation to which multicolored modules with rounded forms are attached.

The upper tier is finished in a warm ochre shade with a wave-like contour and a horizontal strip of glazing, creating an effect of lightness and movement. The middle level is presented in two colors — soft pink and light blue, divided vertically, with minimalist window openings. The lower tier has a more restrained gray-green color with a wave-like glazing element that echoes the upper level.

This facade solution demonstrates the principle of color zoning and play with form, where each element has its individuality, but together they create a harmonious composition. In home design, a similar technique of color contrast can be used to highlight architectural elements of the facade, as well as incorporate smooth lines and curvilinear forms to soften the rigidity of rectangular structures. Combining different materials and textures can also give the facade expressiveness and dynamism.
