#1171. Modernist Facade with Blue Stepped Windows and Terracotta Ornaments

The image showcases an expressive fragment of a building facade executed in the Art Nouveau style with elements of Catalan Modernism. The facade demonstrates a characteristic combination of red brick and white plastered surface, adorned with ornamental elements.

The windows have a stepped shape with a serrated design, typical of Neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau styles. The smaller upper window and the triple lower window are united by a common decorative concept. The window frames are painted in a rich blue color with green elements, creating a striking contrast against the terracotta and white background.

Particularly noteworthy is the decorative painting around the windows – elegant floral ornaments in terracotta tones, symmetrically arranged on the white plastered surface. Below the windows are stone elements with carved decorations, resembling mascarons or stylized capitals.

The serrated design of the brickwork and stepped elements give the facade a rhythm and dynamism characteristic of Catalan Modernist architecture. The combination of strict geometric forms with flowing lines of plant ornament creates a harmonious composition, reflecting the aesthetic principles of the Art Nouveau era.
