Before us is an expressive example of modern architecture, where various materials and forms are skillfully combined. The two-story house features an asymmetrical facade with a clear contrast between the upper part clad in dark wood and the concrete base below. Particularly noteworthy is the roof with its non-standard slope, giving the entire structure a sense of dynamism.
The upper level of the building is characterized by abundant glazing – large panoramic windows ensure maximum penetration of natural light and visually lighten the massive wooden structure. The contrasting light stone element in the center of the facade creates an interesting compositional dominant and breaks up the monotony of the dark wood.
The lower floor, made of concrete, creates a sense of a solid foundation on which the lighter upper volume with a protruding terrace seems to "float." Special attention is drawn to the minimalist entrance with a concrete canopy, organizing spatial depth.
In the facade design, we can note the technique of textural contrast (smooth concrete vs. textured wood), color juxtaposition (dark top vs. light bottom), and play with geometric volumes. These solutions can be adapted for private construction: combining contrasting materials, creating protruding elements, and using panoramic glazing to visually lighten massive structures.
