Modern facade with contrasting combination of wood, stone and glass

#11255. Modern facade with contrasting combination of wood, stone and glass

The presented modern residential building showcases an excellent example of mixed architectural style with elements of Pacific Northwest modernism. The facade features a thoughtful combination of materials: wooden panels in warm reddish-brown tones contrast with gray stone blocks and light gray cladding on the upper levels.

The architectural composition is built on the interplay of volumes—protruding elements with flat roofs and expressive wooden eaves create a dynamic, multi-layered appearance. Particularly noteworthy is the panoramic glazing, especially in the second-floor area, where it is complemented by glass balcony railings, visually lightening the massiveness of the structure.

The stone masonry of the lower level provides visual strength to the building's foundation, while the curved concrete driveway harmoniously blends with the landscaping design. The garage door with glass inserts continues the overall theme of transparency and modernity.

The facade design utilizes the technique of vertical zoning of materials, which is worth noting when designing your own home. The combination of natural textures works effectively: wood adds warmth, stone provides solidity, and glass brings lightness and contemporary feel. The sloped roof elements with protruding wooden beams become not only functional but also decorative features that emphasize the individuality of the structure.
