Before us is a modern two-story residential house, executed in a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean architecture with elements of California design. The facade presents a harmonious combination of stone masonry and plastered surfaces in a warm beige tone.
The central part of the facade is particularly expressive, clad in light natural stone, which creates a striking architectural accent and gives the structure a sense of solidity. The stone cladding organically transitions to small decorative columns on both sides of the entrance door, as well as to elements of the terrace railing on the left, ensuring visual unity in the composition.
The roof has a complex geometry with multiple levels, making the silhouette of the house more dynamic and interesting. Wide eave overhangs with minimalist lines give the building a contemporary look while providing protection from precipitation and direct sunlight.
Windows of various sizes with dark frames create a rhythmic pattern on the facade. Worth noting are the double French doors on the left terrace and garage doors with window inserts that soften their massiveness and integrate them into the overall design.
The landscaping with drought-resistant plants (lavender and other Mediterranean species) beautifully complements the architecture of the building and emphasizes its Californian character. A pathway of individual stone slabs leads to the entrance door, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
When designing your own facade, several techniques from this project could be adopted: combining textures (stone + stucco), using natural materials, creating expressive architectural accents, harmoniously integrating window openings of different sizes, and integrating landscape design with the building's architecture.
