Modern Farmhouse with Combined Facade of Vertical Siding and Stone

#10876. Modern Farmhouse with Combined Facade of Vertical Siding and Stone

Before us is a modern country house with an elegant facade in the modern farmhouse style. The two-story structure is executed in a restrained gray color scheme, creating a harmonious combination with the surrounding landscape and the view opening to a marina with yachts.

The facade features vertical board and batten siding, which gives the building a characteristic rhythm and texture. The upper part of the gable is decorated with textured finishing resembling shingles or slate, creating an interesting contrast with the main material. The metal roof with its characteristic ribbed profile emphasizes the modern character of the building, while simultaneously paying homage to the traditional architecture of rural houses.

The base of the house is faced with natural stone, which not only serves the practical function of protecting the lower part of the building but also creates visual solidity, "grounding" the structure. This technique is particularly effective in combination with the lighter upper part of the building.

Of special note is the spacious veranda with wooden decking and modern metal railings, which connects the house with the external environment and creates additional living space. Large window openings with characteristic divisions into sections provide abundant natural light and enhance the connection of the interior space with the surrounding nature.

In designing your own facade, you can borrow techniques such as combining different materials (wood, stone, metal), using vertical siding to visually increase the height of the building, organizing a functional porch as a transition zone between the house and the plot, as well as thoughtful placement of large windows for optimal lighting and viewpoints.
