The building showcased demonstrates a striking example of contemporary architecture with a modernist approach leaning toward brutalism. The facade is characterized by an expressive geometric composition, where cubic forms, protruding balconies, and recesses create a dynamic visual rhythm. The light gray reinforced concrete structure serves as the foundation for the entire building, emphasizing its monumental nature and modern character.
Particularly appealing is the contrasting interplay of materials on the facade: cold concrete combines with warm wooden inserts that line the loggias and niches, bringing an element of warmth and naturalness to the strict geometric structure. The dark lower part of the facade creates an effect of lightness in the upper portion of the building. Large panoramic windows and glass elements add transparency and lightness to the monolithic construction, while also providing excellent natural lighting for the interior spaces.
The facade is organized according to a modular principle, where the alternation of protruding and recessed elements creates a play of light and shadow, especially effective in bright sunlight, as shown in the photograph. For private homes, this approach can be adapted on a smaller scale – using contrasting materials, playing with geometric shapes, and creating projecting elements for facade expressiveness. Combining concrete (or plaster) with wood, metal, or glass will achieve a similar visual effect even in a small countryside house.
