Fairy-Tale Urban Landscape: Architectural Installation in a Children's Room

#9115. Fairy-Tale Urban Landscape: Architectural Installation in a Children's Room

In this children's room interior, the architect masterfully embodied the idea of creating a fairy-tale urban landscape, transforming the wall into a vibrant decoration of colorful historical facades. We are presented with an amazing stylization of the architecture of ancient European cities - predominantly in the Northern Baroque and Classicism styles characteristic of the Baltic countries, the Netherlands, and northern Germany.

The facade composition is a full-wall panel depicting colorful houses with gabled roofs, arched windows, and decorative elements. The color palette is rich yet harmonious - with shades of red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Such a bold color solution works excellently in a children's space, stimulating imagination and creating a playful atmosphere.

What's notable is the functional solution of this decorative wall - the lower part is equipped with shelves and niches, while toys are arranged on the upper shelf. The integration of decorative and practical elements is one of the hallmarks of high-quality country house interior design, where every inch of space is used rationally.

The interior is complemented by light wooden chairs, creating a cozy play area, while a soft carpet with traditional ornaments adds warmth to the space. The room is well-lit with natural light thanks to a large window with light curtains, and additional lighting is provided by an elegant chandelier under the sloped roof with a skylight.

A similar wall design technique can be used in your own interior to create themed spaces. This can be either a full-scale installation or more modest elements - for example, decorative panels or painting in the form of architectural motifs. This approach is especially appropriate in children's rooms, play areas, or even in offices, where non-standard wall design will help create an inspiring atmosphere.

Create a new facade for your own house.
