Modern Minimalism in a Log Cabin: Industrial Fireplace and Contrasting Materials

#7759. Modern Minimalism in a Log Cabin: Industrial Fireplace and Contrasting Materials

The interior of this country house represents an elegant combination of modern minimalism and traditional wooden architecture. The central element of the space is a massive concrete structure with a built-in fireplace, from which a metal chimney extends to the ceiling. This functional solution becomes dominant in the interior, combining the aesthetics of industrial style with the comfort of a country house.

The cylindrical log walls create a warm atmosphere and contrast with the modern kitchen, executed in white. The brick masonry, serving as a backsplash for the kitchen area, adds textural variety and echoes the brick finishing near the fireplace. The suspended track lighting system above the kitchen area provides functional directed lighting for the work surfaces.

The zoning of the space is interestingly resolved — the concrete base of the fireplace serves as a podium separating the kitchen area from the living room. Storage space for firewood is provided under the podium, which is not only a practical solution but also a decorative element. An animal hide is placed on the floor, adding a note of primitive naturalness to the interior.

This combination of natural materials (wood, stone, brick, concrete) with modern solutions in country house facade design creates a harmonious space that looks both stylish and cozy. This approach can be adopted when creating your own interior, where traditional elements of a wooden house are enriched with modern architectural techniques.
