#4634. Bright children's room with a bookshelf and accent orange ottoman

In this cozy interior of a country house's children's room, we see an excellent combination of functionality and playful aesthetics. The main focus of the composition is an impressive bookshelf with wooden shelves, set against cheerful wallpaper with a colorful droplet pattern. This solution creates an interesting visual context that simultaneously stimulates a child's imagination and gives the space character.

The shelving unit is organized with attention to detail – books of various formats are placed alongside decorative elements: ceramic vases (note the green and ochre vessels), soft toys including a cute yellow duckling, and collectible items like a miniature blue van. The lower part of the shelving unit is concealed by white cabinet fronts, providing additional hidden storage.

The central element of the soft seating area is a luxurious round ottoman in bright orange with a velvety texture and decorative tufting. Its vibrant shade effectively contrasts with the subdued turquoise carpet, creating a warm accent in the space. On the floor, there is a soft doll in a pink dress – a charming detail that emphasizes the childlike character of the room.

In the corner, part of a simple white table is visible, which harmoniously fits into the overall style without overwhelming the space. Such interior design of a children's room demonstrates a balanced approach, with space for storing books, for play, and for creativity.

When designing your own children's space, it's worth noting several techniques used here. First, bright accents against a neutral background create a cheerful atmosphere without overcrowding. Second, the combination of open and closed storage allows for simultaneously displaying beautiful items while concealing less attractive ones. Third, the use of textiles with different textures (the velvet ottoman, the soft pile of the carpet) adds tactile diversity to the space, which is especially important for a child's room.
