Elegant Neoclassical: Open Floor Plan with Architectural Columns in a Country House

#1973. Elegant Neoclassical: Open Floor Plan with Architectural Columns in a Country House

This interior presents an excellent example of an open floor plan in classic American style, where the living room smoothly transitions into the kitchen space. The design features a thoughtful balance of elegance and comfort, characteristic of premium country homes.

Architectural columns with capitals serve as visual space dividers without disrupting the sense of spaciousness and airiness. Particularly noteworthy is the ceiling with classical cornices and moldings, giving the room an aristocratic character – such details are often used when designing facades and interiors of country houses in neoclassical style.

The color palette is dominated by neutral tones – cream, white, and beige, creating a feeling of light and space. Textile elements serve as accents: armchairs with floral print and a Persian rug with predominant red hues that bring warmth and character to the space. The soft furniture embodies comfort and a traditional approach to home arrangement.

The kitchen area is designed in white tones with a contrasting dark island that becomes the central element of the composition. Pendant lights above the island not only provide functional lighting but also serve as decorative elements. The warm-toned wooden floor unifies all areas, creating integrity in the interior.

Large windows and French doors fill the room with natural light and visually expand the space, providing a connection with the natural surroundings, which is especially valuable in a country house.
