Modern two-story house with a contrasting metal and wood façade

#8843. Modern two-story house with a contrasting metal and wood façade

This object is a striking example of modern residential architecture with a contrasting façade solution. The façade composition is built on the combination of two main materials: metallic silver-gray panels and warm wooden cladding. This binary approach creates an expressive visual rhythm and gives the building a dynamic character.

The façade is designed with cubic forms, which emphasizes its contemporary aesthetic. Horizontal ribbon windows on the upper floor break up the monolithic nature of the volume and provide good natural lighting. The first floor features extensive glazing, creating an effect of lightness and interpenetration of interior and exterior spaces. The wooden deck, which serves as an extension of the internal space, organically connects the house with the surrounding landscape.

The architect skillfully used the contrast between cold metallic surfaces and warm wooden inserts, which can be applied in smaller-scale projects as well. For your own house, you can adopt the technique of accent wooden elements against a neutral main façade, play with textures and materials of different warmth, as well as a clear geometry of forms that creates a modern image.
