Brutalist facade with wooden slats: harmony of concrete and wood in a modern country house

#8479. Brutalist facade with wooden slats: harmony of concrete and wood in a modern country house

This modern country house represents an excellent example of brutalist architecture with elements of minimalism. The facade is characterized by clean geometric forms and a contrasting combination of materials. The main structure is made of monolithic concrete with clearly visible formwork texture, creating an interesting visual effect and emphasizing the industrial character of the building.

Particularly noteworthy is the wooden vertical lattice on the facade, made of dark wood, which effectively contrasts with the gray concrete surfaces. These wooden slats not only serve as a decorative element but also perform a functional role, creating partial shading and visually softening the brutality of the concrete structures.

The architect masterfully used the principle of "floating" volumes, where the upper part of the structure seems to hover above the lower one, creating an impression of lightness despite the massiveness of the materials used. Large panoramic windows provide abundant natural lighting and blur the boundary between the interior space and the surrounding nature.

For private construction, a similar approach to facade design can be adapted through the use of contrasting materials (such as concrete and wood), vertical slats as an element of sun protection and decoration, as well as through playing with geometric volumes to create a dynamic and modern appearance. It is especially worth noting how the building is organically integrated into the natural landscape, creating a harmonious dialogue between architecture and the surrounding environment.

Decorate the facade of your home.
