Contrasting Facade: Two-Level Minimalist House with Recessed Basement

#7750. Contrasting Facade: Two-Level Minimalist House with Recessed Basement

This modern private house is a striking example of minimalist architecture, where the upper volume, clad in dark materials, effectively contrasts with the light-colored lower basement level. The asymmetrical gable roof adds dynamics to the entire composition, and its dark covering harmoniously complements the facade panels of the upper volume.

The facade is characterized by clean geometric lines and a thoughtful ratio of solid and glazed surfaces. The large-format panoramic glazing at the main floor level creates visual lightness and ensures maximum interaction between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape. Particularly interesting is the architectural technique with a recessed lower floor, which is partially hidden underground but features its own terrace with metal railings.

The architect skillfully utilized the terrain's natural slope to create a multi-level house structure. The laconic facade materials—dark cladding on the upper volume, light plaster on the lower level, and minimalist metal railing elements—emphasize the contemporary character of the building. The black frames of the panoramic windows enhance the graphic quality of the entire composition. The house is organically integrated into its natural context, surrounded by green space, creating an expressive contrast between the man-made geometry of the architecture and its natural surroundings.

We develop projects of facdes for private houses.
