Floating Wooden Facade: Cantilevered House with Vertical Louvers

#7691. Floating Wooden Facade: Cantilevered House with Vertical Louvers

Before us is a striking example of contemporary architecture where natural materials blend with minimalist design. The cubic volume of the building is clad with vertical wooden louvers, creating a rhythmic pattern on the facade. The main element of the composition is the cantilevered second floor with vertical wooden cladding, which contrasts with the horizontal planks of the lower level.

The facade gains special expressiveness through the interplay of textures and directions of wooden elements. The architect masterfully used a cantilever construction, creating the impression of a floating volume. Large panoramic windows on the second floor provide a visual connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape, adding lightness to the massive wooden structure.

The building is organically integrated into the natural context — situated on a hillside, surrounded by greenery. The first floor is partially elevated above the ground, which preserves the natural relief of the site and creates the impression that the house hovers above the surface. The combination of warm wood tones with the greenery of the surrounding landscape and bright blue sky creates a harmonious, visually appealing composition.

We design facades of country houses.
