Coastal House with Horizontal Wooden Facade

#7601. Coastal House with Horizontal Wooden Facade

Before us is a striking example of contemporary coastal architecture – a residential house with an expressive wooden facade situated in a natural environment. The architectural composition represents a combination of geometric volumes clad in horizontal wooden panels, creating a warm, organic appearance that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape.

The building's facade is characterized by clean lines and a minimalist approach. The horizontal orientation of the wooden cladding visually extends the building, emphasizing its connection with the surrounding horizon. Particular attention is drawn to the projecting second floor with panoramic glazing, creating a floating effect above the first level. The contrast between the warm texture of wood and large glass surfaces gives the facade dynamism and lightness.

The architect skillfully used a combination of materials: in addition to the predominant wood, the composition includes concrete elements that create accent verticals and serve as a structural foundation. Lighting plays a key role in the perception of the building — internal illumination in the evening transforms the residential house into a glowing object where the boundary between interior and exterior blurs thanks to the abundance of glass.

A notable feature of the project is its careful relationship with the natural context — the house is partially elevated above the ground, minimizing intervention in the landscape, while a wooden walkway organically integrates the structure into the surrounding environment of coastal grasses and vegetation.
