Floating Facade: Contemporary House with Contrasting Geometry and V-Shaped Supports

#7534. Floating Facade: Contemporary House with Contrasting Geometry and V-Shaped Supports

Before us stands a striking example of contemporary residential architecture where contrast and dynamism form a unique architectural image. The upper volume of the building is clad in dark gray panels that create a distinct geometric block, hovering above the lower level. Special attention is drawn to the decorative façade element — an abstract mesh panel resembling organic interweaving, which effectively contrasts with the minimalist cladding of the main volume.

The lower part of the building is distinguished by the use of light concrete in supporting elements, forming expressive V-shaped columns. This structural solution not only serves as a functional support for the upper volume but also creates visual lightness, an impression that the upper block is floating in the air. The abundant glazing of the lower level with wooden frames adds warmth to an otherwise cold concrete and metal exterior.

Particularly interesting is the contrast between the modern minimalist volume and the traditional gabled house in the background, emphasizing a dialogue between architectural epochs. The surrounding greenery softens the strict geometry of the building, integrating it into the natural context. Concrete steps leading to the terrace create a smooth transition from landscape to architecture, while the light-colored terrace surface visually extends the interior space of the house.
