#3006. Forest chalet with contrasting facade: harmony of stone, wood, and nature

The presented house is an example of a modern interpretation of a traditional forest chalet, with the main emphasis placed on a harmonious combination of natural materials. The facade combines dark log walls with horizontal placement and a massive stone chimney faced with river pebbles. This stone structure becomes the dominant element of the composition, creating a vertical accent that contrasts with the horizontal lines of the logs.

The architectural solution of the facade is enriched by bright window frames in a mustard-yellow color, creating an expressive contrast with the dark wall finish. The two-level composition of the house is emphasized by an open veranda on the second floor with wooden railings, as well as a spacious terrace on the first level, made of stone. A special detail of the facade is the firewood storage area integrated into the lower part of the stone cladding — a functional element that has become part of the aesthetics.

The roof, with a slope characteristic of mountain chalets, is partially made of metal with visible corrugation, adding textural variety. The architect masterfully works with proportions, creating a sense of simultaneous monumentality and cozy intimacy. The surrounding forest becomes a natural background for the building, emphasizing its organic connection with the landscape.
