Contrasting Two-Volume Façade: Combination of Dark Wood and Copper-Red Metal in a Modern Forest House

#18193. Contrasting Two-Volume Façade: Combination of Dark Wood and Copper-Red Metal in a Modern Forest House

This modern country house represents a striking example of contrasting architecture, where two volumes with different façade materials are clearly juxtaposed. The upper volume, clad in vertical dark wooden panels, creates the impression of a floating element above the lower floor, which is finished with horizontal copper-red metal profiles. This façade design solution not only visually separates the functional areas of the house but also gives the building expressive individuality.

The minimalist window openings of various geometries are carefully thought out: tall vertical windows on the second floor let in more light and open up views of the autumn forest, while the more restrained windows of the first floor create a sense of privacy. The entrance area is accentuated by a wooden deck and protected by protruding structural elements, forming a cozy space in front of the entrance.

The organic integration of the building into the surrounding landscape deserves special attention. The house is located on a slope among an autumn forest, and thanks to its geometry and color palette, it simultaneously stands out against the backdrop of nature while harmoniously blending with it. The landscaping elements — stone slabs of the pathway with green inserts — further connect the architecture with the natural environment.
