Modern country house with contrasting stone and glass facade

#17663. Modern country house with contrasting stone and glass facade

The presented country house is a magnificent example of modern architecture, where natural stone and dark minimalist elements are elegantly combined. The facade is resolved in an expressive contrast of textures and materials: massive columns of natural stone with irregular masonry create a sense of reliability and connection with the surrounding landscape, while the black horizontal elements of the roof and panoramic window frames give the composition a graphic quality and modern character.

Special attention should be paid to the well-thought-out zoning of the exterior: the architects created a semi-open patio with wooden decking, which becomes a transition zone between the interior and the garden. The vertical stone elements of the facade organize the space, creating an architectural rhythm and visual separation of functional areas. The dark wooden finishing of part of the facade adds warmth to the overall color scheme and softens the strictness of the stonework.

When designing your own house, it's worth paying attention to this technique of contrasting heavy textured elements with light, almost weightless structures. Large areas of glazing not only fill the house with light but also blur the boundary between interior and exterior. Also noteworthy is the use of greenery as part of the architectural composition — clay pots with flowers become the accent of the central patio area, complementing and softening the strict geometric shapes of the building.
