Two-level house with contrasting facade: brick and concrete in a modern interpretation

#13517. Two-level house with contrasting facade: brick and concrete in a modern interpretation

This modern country house is a magnificent example of a harmonious combination of traditional and contemporary architectural techniques. The building's facade is divided into two contrasting parts: the upper level is clad in textured brick in warm tones, creating a sense of solidity and connection to traditional architecture, while the lower floor is made of light concrete with large panoramic windows, giving the structure a modern, airy character.

The second floor facade solution deserves special attention with its rhythmic arrangement of same-sized windows that create a clear horizontal line, emphasizing the length of the building. The flat roof with brick trim around the perimeter forms a clean silhouette of the house against the sky. The first floor contrasts with its transparency – large glass sliding panels blur the boundary between the interior space and the garden, providing an abundance of natural light and visual expansion of the living space.

When designing the facade of a private house, several techniques from this project can be utilized: playing with contrasting materials (brick-concrete-glass), creating visual separation of functional areas through different finishes, and integrating open terraces and recreation areas that smoothly connect with the interior through large glazed surfaces. This approach allows for creating not only an aesthetically pleasing but also a functional space that maximizes the use of the surrounding landscape.
