This is an excellent example of modern architectural reconstruction, where a traditional house has been expanded and updated using contrasting materials and forms. The facade presents a harmonious combination of historical and contemporary styles. The original part of the house with its characteristic gabled roof with metal covering has been preserved and painted white, creating a striking contrast with the new addition.
The new section is executed in a modern aesthetic with vertical metal panels in gray and wooden elements that add warmth to the overall composition. A particularly interesting solution is the use of a brick wall that serves as the foundation for a small terrace with vertical wooden slats and glass railing. This private zone creates a buffer space between the house and the street.
In the facade design, the architects masterfully used a combination of textures: smooth white painted brickwork, raw brick, vertical wooden cladding, and metal panels. This approach can be noted when updating your own home when you want to preserve its historical character but add modern functionality.
The corner location of the house is skillfully utilized in the project – different facades have distinct characters while maintaining the integrity of the overall composition. Large windows in the modern section provide good natural lighting, while wooden shutters allow for adjustable privacy and sun protection.
