#13244. Modern two-level house with contrasting facade of patinated copper and dark panels

This modern residential building showcases an expressive contrast of materials and volumes. The main composition is divided into two key parts: the upper volume clad in patinated copper with a greenish tint and vertical articulation, and the lower volume featuring dark facade cladding, presumably made of fiber cement panels. This division creates an interesting visual effect of the upper volume "floating" above the base.

The facade is characterized by laconic minimalism – small window openings on the upper level contrast with larger windows on the ground floor. Particular attention should be paid to the wooden insert on the right side of the building, which softens the overall strictness of the composition and brings warmth to the exterior. The wooden terrace organically continues this theme, creating a smooth transition between architecture and the surrounding landscape.

When designing the facade of your own house, you can adopt several techniques used in this project: contrasting combination of materials with different textures (metal, stone, wood), playing with the geometry of volumes, as well as vertical articulation of the cladding, which visually increases the height of the building. An interesting solution is also the use of natural materials that acquire a noble patina over time, naturally integrating the building into the surrounding environment.
