#12871. Dark wooden facade with vertical articulation and floating staircase

This is a modern residential structure with a minimalist facade made of vertical dark wooden panels. The composition of the house is organically integrated into the landscape, emphasized by the use of an open staircase connecting different levels of the site. The facade follows Scandinavian design principles with characteristic laconic forms and natural materials.

Of particular interest is the entrance area solution with floating steps that create a sense of lightness and visually reduce the massiveness of the structure. The pergola above part of the terrace adds architectural rhythm and serves as a functional element for creating partial shading. The large glazing on the facade provides a visual connection between the interior space and the natural surroundings.

In the facade design, one can note the successful combination of vertical and horizontal articulation of the cladding, which gives the building dynamism. For private construction, such a technique is accessible and expressive: alternating the direction of wooden lamellas allows visual zoning of the volume without resorting to complex architectural solutions. Also interesting is the contrasting combination of the dark facade with the bright landscaping of the adjacent territory, which softens the geometric rigor of the architecture.
