Modern facade with dynamic texture and cantilevered glazing

#12083. Modern facade with dynamic texture and cantilevered glazing

This is a modern residential house with an expressive facade, demonstrating an interesting interplay of volumes and materials. The base of the facade is made of gray rectangular panels laid with slight offsets, creating a textured surface with subtle plays of light and shadow. This technique gives the monolithic structure visual dynamics and scale.

The facade is organized on the principle of contrasting closed and open spaces. The upper part of the building is predominantly closed, with a small window block framed by warm wooden frames, which softens the overall strictness of the composition. The middle level is distinguished by a cantilevered projection with panoramic glazing, creating the effect of a "floating" volume. This architectural technique not only visually lightens the massive structure but also provides an excellent view from the interior spaces.

The lower level is designed to be maximally open, using large sliding glass panels in wooden frames that provide a direct connection between the interior space and the surrounding area. The warm wooden accents framing the glass surfaces create a pleasant contrast with the cool gray facade and add coziness to the building.

For home construction, several valuable techniques can be drawn from this example: using facade panels with slight offsets to create a textured surface; contrasting closed and open zones; applying cantilevered projections to visually lighten the structure; and using natural materials, such as wood, to soften strict geometric forms.
