Brutalist concrete facade with geometric cutouts

#11587. Brutalist concrete facade with geometric cutouts

Before us stands an expressive example of brutalism in contemporary architecture — a minimalist concrete building with a pronounced geometric composition. The facade demonstrates characteristic features of modernist aesthetics: clean lines, absence of decorative elements, and emphasis on the texture of the material.

The main facade presents a monolithic concrete plane with expressive elements: a square light opening in the upper section and a rhythmic row of circular apertures creating an interesting visual pattern. These perforations not only serve as architectural decoration but also likely perform a functional role, providing natural lighting to the interior spaces.

The lower part of the building features dynamic geometry — a diagonal element creates a sense of movement, breaking up the monotony of rectangular forms. The entrance is laconic, using the same concrete surfaces, which gives the composition integrity. The play of light and shadow on the textured concrete surface adds depth and character to the facade.

For private construction, this project offers several interesting techniques: the use of textured concrete surfaces to create an expressive facade; application of geometric cutouts of various shapes to organize natural lighting; working with simple geometric forms to create a dynamic composition; contrast of smooth and textured surfaces of the same material for visual diversity.

We provide the service of designing the facades of country houses.
