This modern residential building is an excellent example of the harmonious combination of natural materials in contemporary architecture. The facade is executed using two main materials: light natural stone in the lower part and wooden panels in the upper section. This combination creates an interesting visual contrast while emphasizing the connection with the natural surroundings.
The architectural composition of the facade is built on the interplay of volumes – the protruding elements of the upper floor create a dynamic silhouette. Particularly expressive are the cantilevered wooden volumes extending beyond the stone base, giving the building a sense of lightness and modern character. The panoramic windows and glass elements of the vertical dominant on the right effectively contrast with the massiveness of the stone masonry.
In the facade design, attention to detail is evident: carefully laid stonework with irregular texture, horizontal arrangement of wooden panels, and minimalist window frames. The entrance area is interestingly designed with stone steps and retaining walls, creating a smooth transition to the landscape of the plot.
This project demonstrates several techniques that can be used in modern facade design: contrasting combination of materials (stone/wood), playing with volumes and cantilevers, use of large glazed surfaces, and integration of architecture into the natural environment. The solution with protruding structures is particularly successful, as they not only create an interesting visual effect but also form protected spaces – for example, the canopy above the entrance.
