#11435. Mountain residence with cascading stone and wood facade

The presented image showcases an outstanding example of contemporary mountain architecture, where natural materials harmoniously blend with minimalist design. Situated on an elevation, this residence offers impressive panoramic views of mountain ranges stretching into the distance.

The building's facade demonstrates a masterful combination of two primary materials: the lower level is constructed from natural stone with rough texture, laid in horizontal rows, creating a sense of solidity and connection to the landscape. The upper level contrasts with the stone foundation – it is clad with vertical wooden slats or bamboo panels, resembling natural thickets and lending the structure lightness and eco-friendliness.

The architectural composition is resolved as a cascade arrangement of volumes following the natural terrain of the slope. Wide panoramic windows on the lower level open the interior space toward nature, blurring the boundary between inside and outside. At the top of the building, an open terrace with a stone chimney suggests the presence of a fireplace – an important element of mountain dwelling.
